LG begins global rollout of flagship G4 smartphone

South Korean manufacturer LG has globally rolled out its latest flagship smartphone LG G4 this week. Being already available in South Korea, the G4 mobile phone hits Hong Kong first, followed by rollouts in Turkey, Russia, and Singapore.

LG further states that its flagship phone, the G4, will slowly be made available in most of the European markets, North America, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa as well as South/Central America.

According to reviews of the LG G4 received so far this Android smartphone will be a tough competitor for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9. If you have plans to buy an Android phone soon it will be a good idea to check out the detailed specifications of the LG G4.

Juno Cho, the CEO of LG Mobile Communications company, mentions this smartphone as the most ambitious one from LG. As per the statement, his company’s vision is to create its own set of standards instead of following the trends of smartphone competitors. He strongly believes that LG has a winner in the form of the G4. The initial response received for this phone since its unveiling in April 2015, clearly supports his belief.

Pricing

The LG G4’s price has not been officially revealed yet, but it will likely cost around $600; the same price range as the Samsung S6 and HTC One M9. On a two-year contract basis, it will likely be available through all major carriers in the US for a price of around $199.99.

Key Features

The leather back-cover version of this mobile device offers a premium look and feel. It is available in different colors like yellow, beige, black, brown, red, and sky blue.

There is another version with a plastic back cover available in colors such as a shiny gold, metallic gray and ceramic white. The phone boasts an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor accompanied by a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display (1440 x 2560 resolution).

The long-lasting 3000mAh battery and 3GB RAM makes it a perfect all-around phone. A major highlight of this LG phone is its camera that gives you the feel of a DSLR camera with its manual shooting mode to adjust ISO, shutter speed, and white balance for clicking breathtaking images. The 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture enables more light to enter, giving it an edge over the cameras of Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6.
