There’s a new threat in town. A white paper from F-Secure provides intimate detail of a malware threat researchers have dubbed CosmicDuke.
CosmicDuke combines elements of a popular APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) Trojan called MiniDuke, and a notorious information stealing tool called Cosmu. The result is an APT Trojan that can be used in precise, targeted attacks, and once it successfully compromises a target machine it will harvest passwords and other sensitive information and deliver it to the attackers.
To learn more, take a look at the article I wrote about CosmicDuke for PCWorld: CosmicDuke will steal your login data and own your network.
