Cylance demonstrates why prevention is better than detection

Cylance

We’ve been conditioned to believe that our malware defenses are adequate as long as we keep the software constantly updated to recognize and detect known threats. The approach is inherently reactive and functions essentially on the premise of “detect and respond”.

A better approach is to prevent. Simply don’t allow malicious or suspicious activities to take place.

Think of it in terms of your home. Would you rather prevent a burglary by not allowing unknown or shady people into your house, or would you rather detect and respond by letting strangers in and reacting only if suspicious behavior is identified?

Cylance–one of the premier sponsors of TechSpective–was launched to address the innate weaknesses of the traditional antimalware model and provide superior protection against threats. Recently, Cylance traveled the country on a road show to promote its security solution and demonstrate its effectiveness by comparing it head-to-head against popular antimalware platforms.
