XenMobile 10 release streamlines mobile device management

The XenMobile 10 release from Citrix adds a variety of new and improved features designed to boost productivity and streamline security for mobile devices. Most importantly, Citrix seems to be working hard to ensure that XenMobile integrates and plays nicely with the platforms and tools businesses and individuals are already using.

I wrote a blog post about the latest release of XenMobile from Citrix:

Citrix announced the latest release of its XenMobile enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution today.XenMobile 10 includes a number of new and enhanced features, including improvements that help customers streamline and manage business workflow. Organizations need an EMM platform like XenMobile 10 to protect sensitive data while enabling users to be productive from mobile devices.

XenMobile is already established as one of the leading EMM platforms. XenMobile 10 includes new integration between the WorxNotes app and Microsoft Exchange that enables users to sync Outlook Notes from their desktops with the WorxNotes app on their mobile devices. The net result is that notes are securely stored and maintained in one place but can be viewed or retrieved from any PC or mobile device.

Citrix also claims a potential 20 percent reduction in IT help desk calls thanks to a new Self Service Portal that allows users to manage tasks like tracking, locking, and wiping of stolen devices. The result, ostensibly, will be lower IT operations costs, and more productive users.

In a press release announcing XenMobile 10, Citrix proclaims, “XenMobile stands apart from other offerings based on experience, security and flexibility in every aspect of product design and development. This differentiated focus makes it a best for business mobility solution for both employees and IT administrators.”
