Marc Linster, Ph.D., is EDB’s Chief Technology Officer, where he focuses on technical direction, thought leadership, and key technology trends to drive growth. Marc is committed to EDB being an innovation accelerator, providing architectural “know-how” to help customers take advantage of PostgreSQL. Marc believes open source drives digital transformation and customers greatly benefit when they partner with a company that provides guidance, support, and bug fixes. Marc has an extensive background in engineering, technology and consulting with over 20 years of management experience and holds a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat) in Computer Sciences from the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany.
