Windows 9 is so yesterday. Microsoft shocked the tech world this morning when it revealed that the next iteration of the Windows operating system will be dubbed Windows 10.
The crux of the news revolves around the fact that Microsoft is pushing for the single operating system paradigm, and delivering a single platform that will be used across mobile devices, desktops, game consoles, and other devices. There will be a lot more to share about Windows 10 throughout this week, and over the coming months while the new OS is in beta mode before its official release–which Microsoft stated will be in late 2015.
