Every cybersecurity vendor seems to describe their platform as “AI-powered” these days. It’s almost a prerequisite for a product announcement. But when you peel back the label, the meaning varies wildly. Sometimes it’s a simple script wrapped in new branding. Other times it’s a genuine attempt to rethink how work gets done. Cyware’s new AI Fabric announcement lands closer to the latter, but the value isn’t in the branding. It’s in the way the company is trying to address long-standing operational problems with a more coordinated approach to agentic automation.

During my conversation with Cyware executives, one thing was clear: they weren’t framing this as a moonshot or a reinvention of security. They kept coming back to the mundane, annoying, and time-eating parts of the job that analysts deal with every day—intel sorting, context gaps, alert surges, and the constant need to stitch data from one system into another. That’s the reality most teams live in, and it’s the bar any AI system has to clear.

One line from Cyware’s Chief Product Officer, Sachin Jade, stuck with me because it reflects a frustration I hear often from practitioners. “Intel is great,” he said, “but customers kept asking, ‘Is this relevant to me? And if it is, what should I actually do next?’”

Jade framed this in a way that feels true for anyone who has ever tried to scale trust in a team: “These agents work like any analyst. They need reinforcement. Positive or negative. The trust factor grows only when you validate the behavior over time.”

That framing matters because too many AI pitches gloss over the trust curve. Early oversight is normal. Over time, teams rely on the system for routine tasks and step in only when the situation warrants it.

Choosing the Right Tool for the Right Task

Cyware’s AI Fabric doesn’t push everything through the same kind of model. Some tasks benefit from deterministic automation—fast, predictable, and straightforward. Others need the more flexible, probabilistic reasoning that agentic AI provides. The platform’s job is to choose the right approach at the right moment.

This hybrid model feels more realistic than swinging the pendulum fully toward autonomy. Security work rarely fits into a single method. Some days you need strict repeatability. Other days, you need something that can dig into the ambiguity.
